👉 On Thursday, May 21, 2026, HCMC University of Technology and Engineering (HCMUTE) officially welcomed a distinguished delegation from RMIT University, Australia for a high-level bilateral meeting. This event on May 21, 2026, marks a significant milestone in turning collaborative potentials into world-class educational realities, focusing on building sustainable global academic programs for our students and faculty.

🌟 The meeting gathered key representatives from both institutions to map out a comprehensive international roadmap. From RMIT Australia, we were honored to welcome Mr. Joseph Tuyen D. Dao and Prof. Vinh Thai. On the HCMUTE side, leaders from the Office of International Affairs, Institute of International Education, and various specialized faculties were present to drive the discussion forward. During this productive session, both universities engaged in deep dialogues focusing on major pillars of cooperation:
- Joint Curriculum & Degree Transitions: Pushing towards bilateral programs, dual degrees, and seamless credit mapping. Flexible models like the 3 + 1.5 + 1 pathway for Masters are under consideration to optimize students' international learning journeys.
- Student & Faculty Mobility: Enhancing both university-to-university exchange and study abroad options. Notably, RMIT has offered a generous 20% scholarship support for undergraduate exchange students alongside visa sponsorship commitments for programs exceeding 3 months.
- Faculty-Specific Collaborations: Tailored cooperation plans were discussed for the Faculty of Economics, Logistics & Industrial Management, and Foreign Languages & IT to match training strengths and enrich academic resources.
- Research & Development: A joint effort to boost research collaboration and organize connected academic seminars.
Following the main meeting, the event successfully wrapped up with a specialized workshop titled "Enhancing Skills for Academics Studying and Conducting Research Overseas," empowering HCMUTE lecturers for global integration.
