On 24 April 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE), a member of the EmpowerTNE network and the lead institution for the TrainTNE strand, successfully hosted Webinar 1 titled “Positioning TNE in University Strategy: Readiness, Partnerships and Programme Development”.
This webinar marked the opening activity in a series of three webinars aimed at strengthening the capacity of Vietnamese higher education institutions in delivering Transnational Education (TNE) programmes.
The webinar series is designed as an integrated programme focusing on three key themes:
- Webinar 1: Focuses on the initial stage of TNE, including partner identification, selection of appropriate models, programme selection, and preparation of programme approval documentation.
- Webinar 2: Explores effective implementation of TNE programmes through robust quality assurance mechanisms and coordinated operational processes.
- Webinar 3: Analyses the role of TNE in long-term institutional development, while sharing practical experiences and impact indicators.
Webinar 1 attracted more than 50 participants from 30 higher education institutions across the country, featuring six presentations delivered by experts and institutions experienced in TNE implementation.
Webinar 2 is scheduled for May 2026 and will continue to provide in-depth content to support institutions in enhancing their capacity to deliver international education programmes.
