Hello everyone, my name is Huỳnh Nhật Tân, and I am currently majoring in Information Technology. I am an alumnus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education) (HCM-UTE), and at the same time, a final-year student at Adelaide University, Australia (AU).

I feel very fortunate to have learned about and participated in the international joint-training program of HCM-UTE. Here, I was equipped with a solid academic foundation ranging from basic to specialized knowledge, which helped me prepare confidently before entering an international learning environment. Moreover, the program created opportunities for me to connect with many friends who share similar passions and academic goals.

Throughout my studies, the lecturers have always been dedicated in guiding and supporting me—not only academically but also with visa-related matters, study pathways, as well as introducing and connecting me to various international education events. Thanks to this, I had the opportunity to better understand the university and the learning environment I would soon be part of. I am truly grateful for their continuous support and companionship throughout my academic journey.
Currently, I have been living and studying at AU for nearly two years. Although I initially faced many challenges, especially with language, professors and international classmates were always willing to help—assisting me in understanding lectures, assessment processes, and other academic-related information.

One aspect that impressed me most at AU is that each semester includes at least one course requiring group work. This has helped me develop teamwork and communication skills, while also giving me the opportunity to make friends with students from diverse backgrounds, including both international and local students. The learning environment at Adelaide is very open, respectful of diversity, and encourages students to be proactive in learning, exchanging ideas, and developing themselves.

In addition, the facilities and learning resources at the University of Adelaide are modern and well-equipped. The campus provides numerous photocopiers and computers, especially in libraries and study areas. These spaces are open 24/7, ensuring full access to electricity, water, and a conducive learning environment, particularly helpful during exam preparation periods. Students can also book soundproof rooms for self-study or group work, making learning more effective. Furthermore, the university offers many academic support groups and centers that assist students with skills such as essay writing, academic research, and specialized subjects, especially valuable when students encounter difficulties or feel stuck in their studies.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the lecturers in both Vietnam and Australia who have continuously supported and accompanied me since the very beginning of my study abroad journey. From my personal perspective, the international joint program is truly worth considering and participating in, especially for students who aspire to study and develop in an international environment.
